Who will The Old Spot Trust help?

We aim to help charities, community groups and other non-profit-making organisations in Gloucestershire.

The Old Spot Trust was formed at the end of 2007.

We have been spending this year fundraising and we are now in a position to give out grants.

How do people make an application to the Old Spot Trust?

We are now closed for applications for 2011 and hope to start accepting applications for next year from April 2012.

Applications should be submitted to Trustees.

Organisations wanting to apply for grants need to write to the Trustees at Over Farm, Over, Gloucester, GL2 8DB or email

- info@oldspottrust.co.uk, stating the name of their organisation, what they do, where they are based, how much they are bidding for and how

they will use the money.

We welcome applications from any of these groups, whether they are helping the county’s people, animals, wildlife or environment.

Our principle criteria for funding is that any benefits must be within the county. We will give priority to causes where any of these things apply:

The grant requested will have meaningful impact, such as smaller groups or those which might find it difficult to get support elsewhere
The organisation involved is seeking support for a particular event, campaign or initiative
The organisation involved actively supports the fund-raising work of the Charitable Trust by providing volunteers when needed
The cause helps a section of the community or environment that suffers from some form of disadvantage
Individuals who can demonstrate that her/his activities will be of clear benefit to Gloucestershire. This will be at the discretion of Trustees

How much will The Old Spot Trust give in its grants?

Grants given will normally range from £50 to up to £500. In exceptional circumstances, more money may be available but this will be at the

discretion of Trustees.
