Who will The Old Spot Trust help?

We aim to help charities, community groups and other non-profit-making organisations in Gloucestershire.

We welcome applications from any of these groups, whether they are helping the county’s people, animals, wildlife or environment. Our principle criteria for funding is that any benefits must be within the county. We will give priority to causes where any of these things apply:

• The grant requested will have meaningful impact, such as smaller groups or those which might find it difficult to get support elsewhere

• The organisation involved is seeking support for a particular event, campaign or initiative

•  The organisation involved actively supports the fund-raising work of the Charitable Trust by providing volunteers when needed

• The cause helps a section of the community or environment that suffers from some form of disadvantage

• Individuals who can demonstrate that her/his activities will be of clear benefit to Gloucestershire. This will be at the discretion of Trustees

How much will The Old Spot Trust give in its grants?

Grants given will normally range from £50 to up to £500. In exceptional circumstances, more money may be available but this will be at the discretion of Trustees.

How do people make an application to the Old Spot Trust?

Applications should be submitted to Trustees. 

Applications for 2009 have now closed.  We will be awarding grants again in 2010 and details of the closing date for applications will be listed here nearer the time.  When we consider applications, we ask you to tell us a bit about yourselves, your organisation and what area you cover, how much money you would like and what you would spend it on.
