Brewing at Uley began in 1833 at Price's Brewery. After a long gap, the
premises were restored and Uley Brewery opened in 1985. The brewery has its
own spring water, which is used to mash with Tuckers Maris Otter malt and
boiled with Hereford hops. No sugar or additives are added. Uley serves
40-50 free-trade outlets in the Cotswold area and, says owner Chas Wright,
contrary to 'decline in cask ales, we have never been busier!'

Three Choirs is a friendly way to discover how healthy vines
and classic wines have once again taken root in England after an absence of
nearly 900 years.
We invite you to stroll among 70 acres of carefully cultivated vines, where
we nurture well-chosen modern varieties alongside world-renowned grapes such
as Pinot Noir. The

Award winning Day’s Cottage Pure Apple Juice is made with apples from
traditional, mature orchards in Gloucestershire. The fruit comes only from
unsprayed orchards, and dozens of different varieties are used, some unique
to the county, including Newton Wonder, Pippins, Bramley, Blenheim Orange,
Tom Putt, John Standish, Taynton Codlin, Jubilee, Ashmead’s Kernel and
Underleaves. These give flavours unobtainable from modern commercial fruit,
and can be enjoyed as unusual single varieties or as carefully blended
juices. We also make a range of Ciders and Perry (pear cider), fermented
and matured in oak barrels.

Highnam
Court was built in 1658 after the original house was seriously damaged in
the Civil War. It is one of the few houses built during the Commonwealth
period. The design of the houses is linked to Ernest Carter who was a pupil
of Indigo Jones. The Highnam Estate was bought in 1838 by Thomas Gambier
Parry, who was an accomplished artist, musician and art collector. This
talented painter is also responsible for the magnificent frescoes in Highnam
Church. He started to layout his garden in 1840, and by 1874 it rivalled any
in the UK. Unfortunately since the turn of the last century almost nothing
had been done in the gardens. Consequently when the process of restoration
started in 1994 the gardens were totally overgrown. During the last 13
years, since Roger Head has been the owner, the gardens have been totally
and lovingly restored to their former glory, with many new additions being
made to compliment and enhance the original design.
